Mario is a 2020 Project SEARCH Delnor graduate. He has been a client of Parents Alliance Employment Project since September 2019. On 2/18/2021, Mario was formally presented the Individual Achievement Award. Suzanne Markin who is the Youth Program Manager of Kane County Office of Community Reinvestment was there to present the award to Mario and his dad (Angelo). Winners of this award are chosen by the local workforce innovations board. The award goes to a customer who is looking for employment and who has received assistance from WIOA and another core partner (PAEP) to accomplish new career goals. Mario works part time at Delnor Hospital in the kitchen, and he has been an employee there since February 2020. Way to go, Mario!
